IOS Summer Event 2026

We are now looking ahead to our 2026 summer event.

Kindly complete this poll as soon as possible so we can review capacity and confirm numbers with the venue. Based on numbers recieved so far we are likely to book exclusive use of the centre. We have received requests to hold the event at the end of the summer term, so that families who have a distance to travel, including internationally, can stay for a longer duration.

Inspiration in the Malvern Hills

We are excited to hold our summer gathering in the stunning Malvern Hills at the beautiful Elim Conference Centre. This area is steeped in Christian literary history; it was here that C.S. Lewis found inspiration for the landscape of Narnia. If you are staying for the weekend, there is a lot to see and do.

The Noor (Eben's parents in Year 7) family have offered to host any interested families at their church on Sunday with a meal afterwards (Thank you!) More information on this to come closer to the time.

Venue: Elim Conference Centre, West Malvern
Date: Monday 20th July (day event)
Cost: £30 for adults and 14 plus/£25 5-13s/£20 0-4s per head for the day event (including lunch and refreshments and planned activities/speakers). The cost helps cover exclusive hire of the theatre/cafe and scenic rooms/grounds for the afternoon. If cost is an issue please get in touch.

Stay with IOS! If families would like to stay the evenings of Sunday 19th and/or Monday 20th July, we recommend booking accomodation at the Elim Centre itself (which has 33 rooms - a mixture of single, double and some family rooms) or the Abbey Hotel in Great Malvern early so that we can spend time together. We have been given a significant discount at the Abbey Hotel for a block booking of rooms so this is also an option - please see the link for details and discount code.

Our booking at the centre will be confirmed based on the numbers submitted, so please only complete the form if you are available on this date and intend to come. Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Elim Conference Centre is located in the picturesque village of West Malvern, nestled in the Malvern Hills. Our main day event will include use of the theatre, interactive activites and the opportunity to connect and enjoy the grounds in a setting with stunning views.

🚗 Getting There

From Heathrow Airport: Take the M4 westbound, then M5 north. Exit at Junction 7 (Worcester South) and follow the A449 towards Malvern. Journey time is approximately 2 hours (110 miles).

From Birmingham Airport: Via the M42 and M5. Journey time is approximately 55 minutes (44 miles).

🚂 Nearest Train Station

Great Malvern Station is the nearest station, just 1.5 miles from the venue. Direct trains run from London Paddington (approximately 2 hours 15 minutes) with a change at Worcester. Colwall Station is also nearby (1 mile) on the Hereford line.

🏞️ Things to Do in Malvern

Malvern is a charming Victorian spa town with stunning hillside walks, natural spring water fountains and beautiful gardens. The Malvern Hills offer spectacular views across up to 15 counties on a clear day. The town has quaint independent shops, cafés and the Malvern Theatres. For families, there's also the Malvern Splash leisure centre and numerous nature trails perfect for all ages.
