Since transitioning our daughter to a Christian virtual school we've seen her: smile and laugh every day, study harder and learn more than all her previous school years, dream and make plans for her future, share and participate in all family time and activities, became self-motivated and scheduled her day and weeks all by herself, rediscovered her joy and creativity. We both work full-time jobs and pastor on the weekends … but we prayed and God answered. We found this virtual online Christian school that did Cambridge GCSE courses and was teacher led.
Most importantly for us, IOS presents a low-key but meaningful, encouraging and quietly consistent Christian/Biblical worldview. This opens up something amazing: for the first time in our son's education, he is hearing teachers from time to time make little natural links from their curriculum into Bible history & Geography, Christian ethics and the creator God — as a normal part of his learning. Not in every lesson, but frequently and naturally, not forced, just totally unself-consciously, the Christian faith comes through. Thank you for such a great school!
Transitioning from upper primary public school to IOS has been much smoother than we imagined. We are very pleased with how organised all the lessons are in the portal. It is easy to follow and very practical. We are also very happy with her teachers who are all very professional. We can see our daughter growing and enjoying her lessons. She loves her teachers. We really like Immanuel Online School and our son is motivated and thriving with IOS. There are many reasons why it is working well for us: Totally honest and clear in communications with parents. This produces trust and a feeling of partnership and collaboration with the school. Technically IOS tends to run very smoothly. Affirming — the positive atmosphere in all lessons without exception brings out the best in the students and motivates them. The pupils really are excelling and stretching themselves.
We are absolutely delighted with how well he has settled in and how much he is enjoying his studies with IOS. He has thrown his heart and soul into every piece of work and is sharing with us what he is doing. This is a big improvement on where he was before and it is good to see that his planning and organising are also developing. We are very grateful for all your and your colleagues' efforts to help him adjust to this new way of doing school.
Compared to Interhigh — it's like chalk and cheese. Honestly you cannot compare the two — what you are doing is amazing and interhigh does not compare. Smaller class sizes and the teachers care!
The reporting and assessment for learning is excellent. We really appreciate the structure and the care that the tutors take to ensure students are doing their best.
The staff often make their lessons very exciting! Even if not a particularly exciting topic, then they at least make it fun with an engaging interactive game. Many lessons are cutting-edge and up to date — this is very unusual for Year 7 lessons.
My son said: "I learnt the same amount in my first week at IOS that I learnt in 5 weeks at state school." Enough said...

Learning with IOS has been great, lessons are focused, fun and interactive. Online sessions are helpful and help to cement my learning of the independent work I have completed. Hi, my name is Timothy and I am currently in Year 7 at IOS. I didn't know what to expect this year as this school is new to me but I am happy to say that so far it has been an amazing experience and I am really enjoying it. I have found it to be a very positive and encouraging environment in which to learn and I am definitely learning skills I didn't have before.
I really love doing online school with Immanuel Online School. I'm learning more than I ever have in school and I don't have any of the other distractions from other people in a classroom.

Some of our students created 'A day in the life of...' videos. We have students on our live track from countries all around the world with 70% of students based in the United Kingdom. Flipped learning ensures students complete their prep lesson and an associated test (with immediate feedback) before attending the tutorial. This completes the LTT model - Lesson, Test, Tutorial.
